What is UFI ?
The UFI is a unique alphanumeric code ( Unique Formula Identifier) that must be indicated both in the notification and on the product. Its aim is to establish a clear link between the product placed on the market and the information submitted to the toxicology centres, in order to prevent and treat potential poisoning quickly and effectively.
Where is the notification made?
ECHA’s Notification Portal is an online platform through which notifiers compile and submit information on hazardous mixtures. This information can be used by toxicology centres for rapid response to health emergencies. The information contained in the notification to the central toxicological centre (PCN) is in a standardised XML format and is in accordance with the CLP Regulation VIII. shall comply with the harmonised data requirements set out in the Annex to this Directive.
Why trust us to prepare your notifications?
Although the reporting interface can be learned, it still requires a lot of experience to interpret and quickly fix individual error messages. Our staff have spent over 100 hours using the system, so we can deliver notifications quickly and reliably.
How do I know if my product is notifiable?
The EU Poison Center Notification (PCN) is mandatory for all mixtures that have been classified as hazardous on the basis of their health or physical effects. Mixtures classified as dangerous only for the environment do not need to be notified. For hazardous substances, no PCN non-reporting is required.
